Air-Fryer Chicken Parmesan
Simple and quick chicken parmesan made in an air fryer, perfect for a busy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 0.25 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp oregano
- 0.50 tsp red pepper flakes
- 0.50 tsp garlic powder

- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley

Method
Carefully butterfly 2 large chicken breasts .
Season both sides with 1 tsp kosher salt and 1 tsp black pepper .
Place 0.33 cup all-purpose flour in a shallow bowl . Season with a large pinch of 1 pinch kosher salt and a few grinds of 1 pinch black pepper .
In another shallow bowl , beat 2 large eggs to blend.
In a third shallow bowl , combine 1 cup panko bread crumbs , 0.25 cup parmesan cheese , 1 tsp oregano , 0.50 tsp red pepper flakes , and 0.50 tsp garlic powder .
Working one at a time, coat chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into egg, letting excess drip off, then finally dip into panko mixture, gently pressing to adhere and ensuring both sides of chicken are well coated.
Arrange chicken in a single layer in an air-fryer basket . Cook for 5 minutes at 400°F, turning once.
Top chicken with 1 cup marinara sauce and 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese . Continue to cook for 3 minutes at 400°F until cheese is melted and golden.
Divide chicken among plates. Garnish with 2 tbsp fresh parsley .
